My child is in school abroad. Can you teach their curriculum?

We teach the Nigerian curriculum, the English National Curriculum and Cambridge International, the American Common Core, and the provincial curricula of Canada's English-speaking provinces — Ontario, Alberta, British Columbia and Manitoba. Lessons match the system your child's school actually follows, not a generic syllabus.

Which subjects do you cover?

English Language, Literature and Creative Writing are taught by Irene herself. We also have seasoned subject teachers for Mathematics and the Sciences — Basic Science, Biology, Physics and Chemistry — across all year levels, plus French for DELF, TEF and TCF candidates.

How do lessons actually run?

One-to-one on Google Meet, at a slot you choose. We teach Monday to Saturday, and you receive a written progress report every month so you can see movement rather than take it on trust.

How does the timezone difference work?

Lagos is one hour ahead of the UK and five to seven hours ahead of North America, which means UK after-school hours and North American evenings both fall comfortably within our teaching day. We teach Monday to Saturday, you choose your slot when you book, and it's held for you for the whole term.

What happens on the free assessment call?

Thirty minutes with Irene, at no cost and with no obligation. We meet your child, hear what's concerning you, and establish where they genuinely are rather than where a report card says they are. You'll leave with an honest read and a suggested plan — whether or not you go on to book.

Do you support children with special educational needs?

Yes. Irene holds British Council certifications in Special Educational Needs and in Speech & Language, and we support learners with dyslexia, ADHD and speech and language needs. Sessions are paced to the child rather than to a syllabus deadline.

How much does it cost, and do you offer a sibling discount?

Rates depend on the plan, the year group and the frequency of lessons, so we agree them with you on the free consultation call. There's no joining fee and no obligation to continue after the assessment. We do offer a sibling discount — mention it on the call and we'll factor it in.

Question 8

Do you teach adults?

Accepted Answer

For French, yes. We prepare adults for the TEF and TCF examinations used in Canadian immigration, covering all four competencies. Our other programmes are built for school-age students.
